MTNA Benevolence Fund
Through the years MTNA and its members have reached out to those who have been affected by natural disasters. Through special donations, MTNA has been able to provide financial assistance to numerous music teachers to help reestablish their studios.
When Superstorm Sandy hit the Northeast in late October 2012, MTNA members again rose to the occasion and gave generously. The outpouring of financial support from members, combined with $25,000 from the MTNA Foundation Fund, exceeded the requests for assistance. So, MTNA has started the MTNA Benevolence Fund. The monies from this account will be used specifically to assist music teachers whose professional lives are severely disrupted by disaster.
