PURPOSE: To provide financial assistance to individual collegiate members to attend a national event, specifically the MTNA National Conference or the Collegiate Piano Pedagogy Symposium.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Any MTNA collegiate member in good standing
  • Grant may be used to attend the MTNA National Conference (March 2017) or Collegiate Piano Pedagogy Symposium (January 2017).
  • Applicants may only apply for one grant each fiscal year.
  • Past grant recipients are eligible, but priority is given to first-time Conference/Symposium attendees.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time November 1, 2016

EVALUATION CRITERIA:

  • Preference will be given to first-time Conference/Symposium attendees.
  • Preference will be given to non-presenting applicants.
  • Compliance with all grant guidelines and application procedures. Late applications will not be considered.
  • Preference will be given to seniority.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Enrichment grants will be in the amount of $100 only.
  • All decisions of the selection committee are final.
  • A final report (or other type of reflection) must be submitted to MTNA national headquarters within 30 days after the event.

  • If and when you have received an MTNA Collegiate Travel Grant in the past
  • Short essay (100 words) about how attending the MTNA national conference or Symposium will enrich your education or career. (uploaded Word or PDF document.)
  • How you will share information gleaned from the experience.
