“eBay Hire” Beta Helps Music Teachers Market Their Services On eBay

November 19, 2013

MTNA members are invited to register for an exciting new program from eBay, eBay Hire.

eBay Hire is a new service that enables service pros to market their services to eBay customers in their neighborhood. Each professional will have a profile page, where customers can learn about their experience and rates.  Ads featuring the pros will show up in relevant product search result pages on eBay. For example, shoppers buying guitar stings might be shown results for accredited music teachers in their zip code.

As an experimental experience, eBay Hire does not charge a fee to sign up and will not be charging fees during the promotional period*.  After the current promotional period ends, however, the company expects to charge fees for each booking, similar to the fees charged when users list and/or sell items on eBay.com. Participating service providers will be given notice of any changes to the program before they are rolled out.

If you are interested in participating in this beta, register your interest today at hire.ebay.com. eBay’s unmatched traffic offers opportunities to market to new customers every day and eBay Hire will allow you to easily manage your profile page and gain access to tips and tools at no cost during the promotional period.
