You Belong at TEMPO 2026!
See One. Do One. Play.
Practical Creativity for the Music Studio
Learn It Today. Use It Tomorrow.
TEMPO 2026 is designed to feel less like a traditional conference and more like a hands-on workshop for music teachers.
Built around a See One, Do One approach, presenters will demonstrate ideas and invite participants to try them immediately at their instruments. Sessions will focus on practical musicianship, creative exploration, and strategies teachers can bring directly into their studios to help students stay engaged and grow as musicians.
TEMPO is a virtual event designed to make programming, education and networking as accessible as possible to everyone. Similar to other MTNA conferences and events, there will be something for everyone!
TEMPO will feature fresh, exciting presentations focused on a variety of topics important to the 21st-century music teacher. Please note: TEMPO is a separate entity from the MTNA National Conference; all programming is original content and has not been presented in any other MTNA forum.
Session Selection Committee:
- Leila Viss, MA, Centennial, CO
- Kevin Chance, NCTM, MTNA President, Tuscaloosa, Alabama
- Brian Shepard, MTNA CEO, Cincinnati, Ohio
