National Conference Need-Based Attendance Grants
$500 need-based grants available to active MTNA members
MTNA is committed to making its national programs as accessible as possible to all music teachers and students. To that end, and in celebration of the association’s 150th anniversary, the MTNA Board of Directors has allocated $15,000 to provide $500 grants to active member teachers who are first-time conference attendees and who demonstrate financial need to attend the MTNA National Conference.
Eligibility
- Current active or senior MTNA member
- First-time MTNA National Conference attendee
- Demonstrated financial need for assistance
- Teachers who have already registered for the 2027 conference may apply
Application Requirements
- Name and contact information
- 250-word narrative to describe your financial need
- 250-word narrative to describe the impact attending the 2027 MTNA National Conference would have on you, your career, and your studio
Applications will be reviewed by a panel of evaluators and awarded as funds are available. Recipients will be notified by December 1, 2026.
If circumstances prevent recipient from attending the conference, the unused funds must be returned to the association. Conference registration records will be cross-checked with the names of recipients to ensure compliance.
