Representation and Advocacy Resources
MTNA Representation and Advocacy Policy
MTNA is committed to building an inclusive and inspiring community of empowered music teachers and knowledge-seekers, where each individual is valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive and belong. Through all our programming and operations efforts, the association is dedicated to listening and taking action towards fostering a more welcoming community.
We believe that a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds enriches the music teaching profession and strengthens its role in society. As part of our membership development efforts, we will reach out to and encourage music teachers from all cultures and backgrounds to participate in MTNA programming and activities.
MTNA champions fair access to music instruction, resources, and opportunities for teachers and students, recognizing that education empowers individuals and elevates communities. These commitments guide our efforts to promote and sustain the transformative power of music teaching throughout the country and beyond.
As part of our commitment to representation and advocacy, MTNA has developed this section of the website to organize and curate resources from American Music Teacher, the MTNA e-Journal, MTNA webinars and the MTNA website.
Content will continue to be added and updated to ensure MTNA members have access to the latest information and research. If you have any questions regarding the this section of the website, contact the MTNA National Headquarters at (888) 512-5278 orĀ
